Evergrande High-Tech: HCMT Surfacing Technology Boosts First-Half Performance
In recent years, as the country has tightened its environmental regulations, waste-to-energy companies have been ramping up boiler operating parameters to meet these stricter standards, creating favorable conditions for growth in the boiler wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant industry. On July 17, Evergrande High-Tech (002591) told a reporter from China Securities Journal that the company has seen a rapid increase in order volume this year. The firm expects to achieve a net profit of approximately RMB 12 million to RMB 17 million in the first half of 2018, thanks to the gradual recovery of its wear- and corrosion-resistant business—representing a year-on-year growth rate of 204.15% to 247.54%.

The firm expects to achieve a net profit of approximately RMB 12 million to RMB 17 million in the first half of 2018, thanks to the gradual recovery of its wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant business—representing a year-on-year growth rate of 204.15% to 247.54%.
It is reported that early-operating waste-to-energy incinerators in China operated at relatively low temperatures and pressures, primarily because waste-handling subsidies were generous at the time. The main goal was simply to dispose of the waste, with little emphasis on harnessing its thermal energy for power generation. As a result, flue gas corrosion of the boilers remained relatively mild during this period—when it did occur, maintenance typically involved replacing corroded tubes rather than addressing the issue more comprehensively.
However, in recent years, as national environmental regulations have become increasingly stringent and waste-handling fees have steadily declined, waste-to-energy companies have been forced to ramp up boiler operating parameters to meet stricter emission standards. Unfortunately, these adjustments have exacerbated high-temperature corrosion issues in the heating surfaces of waste-to-energy boilers, leading to frequent tube leaks and even catastrophic tube bursts. Addressing the problem of high-temperature corrosion in waste-fired boiler heat transfer surfaces has thus become an urgent priority.
Evergrande High-Tech introduced that the company has been deeply researching anti-corrosion technology for waste incineration furnaces since 2009. It now possesses proprietary technologies and engineering services related to the production of advanced wear- and corrosion-resistant new materials, successfully addressing the severe corrosion challenges in high-temperature tube banks within waste-to-energy boilers. The HCMT surfacing welding technology leverages the cutting-edge CMT welding system currently used in the welding industry, combined with the exceptional corrosion resistance of Inconel 625 nickel-based material at elevated temperatures. This innovative approach involves depositing one or more layers of high-temperature, corrosion-resistant nickel-based material directly onto critical boiler components such as membrane water-cooled walls—areas exposed to intense heat. As a result, this technique significantly enhances the service life of membrane water-cooled walls, particularly when applied to the heated surfaces of waste incineration boilers, leading to a substantial extension of their operational lifespan.
Evergrande High-Tech announced that, in response to the growing demand in the waste incineration furnace protection market, the company has completed the capacity expansion of its HCMT cold-welding production line. As a result, the factory’s automation level has significantly improved, enabling the company to provide long-term wear-and-corrosion-resistant technical services for major enterprises such as Jinjiang Group, Kangheng Environment, Hanlan Environment, Guangzhou Environmental Investment, Shenzhen Energy, Jianglian Heavy Industry, and Oriental Industrial Boiler. Meanwhile, the company continues to secure new orders at a rapid pace, paving the way for accelerated performance growth.
