On December 17, 2021, Gu Fan, Vice Mayor of Rugao Municipal People’s Government in Jiangsu Province, Yang Yonghui, Deputy Director of the Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, She Fei, Director of the Bureau of Commerce, Shen Wenhua, Chairman of Yinjun Investment Group, Shen Boxiao, Founding Partner and Chairman of Cangxiu Fund, Tao Yiqi, President, and other leaders visited Evergrande High-Tech. Zhu Xinghe, Chairman of Evergrande High-Tech, along with Yu Hao, Deputy General Manager and Board Secretary, and other company executives, warmly welcomed Vice Mayor Gu and his delegation and held a fruitful meeting.
Chairman Zhu Xinghe warmly welcomed Vice Mayor Gu Fan and his delegation, and provided an overview of Evergrande Hi-Tech’s entrepreneurial journey, its growth trajectory, the current status of its various business segments and key initiatives, as well as the company’s future strategic roadmap.
Vice Mayor Gu Fan highly praised Evergrande High-Tech for its remarkable progress in energy conservation, environmental protection, and intelligent manufacturing, commending the company’s strategic focus on the broader green industry sector. He also shared insights into Rugao’s economic development and highlighted the city’s pioneering role as home to Rugao Hydrogen Energy Town—a region that was among the first in China to enter the hydrogen energy industry, boasts the highest concentration of hydrogen-related enterprises, and has built one of the most comprehensive hydrogen energy value chains in the country. The town’s product portfolio spans across key areas such as hydrogen production and refueling equipment, membrane electrodes, hydrogen fuel cell stack systems, and even hydrogen-powered vehicles. As a result, a robust “five-in-one” hydrogen energy industrial chain has begun taking shape—encompassing hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, R&D and manufacturing of hydrogen fuel cells, development and assembly of hydrogen-powered vehicles, and demonstration applications of cutting-edge hydrogen energy products.
Vice Mayor Gu expressed that if Evergrande High-Tech demonstrates interest in developing a hydrogen energy business in Rugao, the local government is fully committed to providing strong policy support to facilitate the company’s expansion in the region.
Chairman Zhu Xinghe stated that several significant policy documents released by the national government this year clearly demonstrate strong support for the hydrogen energy industry. Meanwhile, multiple regions have unveiled their "14th Five-Year" plans for the hydrogen energy sector, laying out ambitious strategies for building future hydrogen infrastructure. Our company remains optimistic about the long-term growth of hydrogen energy. Notably, Rugao is at the forefront of China's hydrogen energy development, boasting a fully integrated industrial chain—a perfect environment for advancing the hydrogen energy industry. Should the company consider expanding into hydrogen-related initiatives in the future, Rugao would naturally be our top choice.
